Good to know:
Pilates is a form of exercise which concentrates on developing and maintaining a strong 'core', utilising all your abdominal muscles including the pelvic floor and deep stabilising muscles.
A stable central core is essential for maintaining correct posture, good control and balance of your whole body and being. When performed regularly, Pilates positively changes and enhances your body and its correct use and application will change your understanding, awareness and appreciation of your body.
The medical world is increasingly becoming more aware of the benefits of Pilates for the prevention and rehabilitation of long-term and persistent injuries.
Pilates suits all ages and fitness levels and can be particularly beneficial for those with back and neck pain, poor posture, sports injuries, arthritis, stress-related illnesses and even during pregnancy.
